Amarnath Maddireddy, operating under the name AmarnathM74 Labs ("we", "us", or "our"), operates the AmarnathM74 Labs mobile application (the "App") and its associated services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

Accounts are created by the administrator — the App does not offer self-registration. We collect and store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.

b. Device & Technical Information

When you use the App, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your device model, operating system, app version, a persistent app installation identifier, IP address, and session information. This data is used for authentication, session management, and service operation.

c. IoT Device Data

The App is designed to monitor and control IoT devices. We collect and store data generated by and about your connected devices, including device identifiers, configuration settings, connection status, energy and electrical measurements, usage analytics, command history, and diagnostic information.

d. User-Generated Content

We store data you create through the App, such as device names, notes, appliance labels, and broker configurations.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its core functionality
• Authenticate your identity and manage your session
• Facilitate communication between the App and your connected IoT devices
• Generate energy analytics, usage summaries, and historical reports
• Improve and optimize the App experience

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect location data, contacts, photos, camera or microphone input, biometric data, payment information, advertising identifiers, or browsing history. The App does not request any special device permissions beyond internet access.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software.

We use third-party infrastructure providers to host and operate the App. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information. Your IoT devices communicate through an MQTT broker service that you configure and manage.

We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AmarnathM74 Labs or its users.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We employ industry-standard security practices, including encrypted communications (TLS), secure password hashing, token-based authentication with revocation capability, and encrypted on-device credential storage using platform-native mechanisms (iOS Keychain and Android EncryptedSharedPreferences).

The App stores only your authentication credentials and an installation identifier on your mobile device. All other data is fetched from our servers on demand and is not cached locally.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services. IoT device data and historical measurements are retained to provide ongoing analytics and usage trends. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see our Data Deletion page).

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw from the service at any time
